Here in northern Botswana we are getting some wonderful late rains that are turning the coffee shop’s surroundings a lush green, and the animals — both wild and domestic — sleek and fat.
Adding to the reasons for celebrating, we have had a series of friends and family arrive back in Maun to spend time with us, and liven up our lunch hour at the coffee shop. This has included our two sons, Danny and Robin, who are both now working in the hospitality trade. Ready to take a break together, they have signed up for a trek across India, travelling by tuktuk — a motorized rickshaw.
